Sandhya Prakash, an alumna of BITS Pilani, Rajasthan, from the 1987-1991 batch, is a renowned thought leader, speaker, and entrepreneur. She completed her Masters in Management Studies at the institute.

BITS, Pilani holds a special place in my heart, not just as an institution where I pursued my education, but as a sanctuary where I cultivated lifelong passions and forged unforgettable memories.

One of my most treasured hobbies, bird watching, blossomed amidst the lush greenery and serene surroundings of the campus in stark contrast to the off-campus desert ecosystem. The early mornings, with the first rays of sunlight filtering through the trees, became my sanctuary. The tranquil silence of dawn was occasionally broken by the melodious calls of various bird species, a symphony that accompanied me on my solitary and our cuckoo club walks with four of us. These moments of quiet observation instilled in me a deep appreciation for nature's beauty, a passion that continues to this day.

Another fond memory was my routine of walking at 6 Am on Sundays, eagerly awaiting the sunrise near the gliding club. The anticipation of watching the world awaken was a magical experience. On one morning, the thrill was heightened by the chance to take a flight on a glider, soaring high above the campus and seeing the world from a bird's-eye view. These flights were exhilarating, offering a sense of freedom and perspective that was both humbling and awe-inspiring. The peacefulness of the early morning and the adrenaline rush of gliding formed a unique blend of tranquility and excitement that I cherish deeply.

The clock tower at BITS, Pilani housed a telescope. This was my third source of unforgettable experiences. Visiting the astronomy telescope at the top of the tower in the middle of the night was an adventure. The breathtaking views of the starry sky and the vast expanse of the universe fostered a sense of wonder and curiosity.

My fourth most memorable moment came from the singing on stage to an enthusiastic audience of batchmates, juniors, and seniors. The energy, the camaraderie, and the shared joy of music created moments of pure joy and connection.

These experiences at BITS, Pilani have left an indelible mark on my soul, shaping who I am and providing a treasure trove of memories that I will carry with me forever.
